how do you go about getting a real estate license?

When I took a 2-3 week class, it cost a couple hundred. Then the state exam costs maybe another hundred as well. I am sure it varies state-by-state. Look up Real Estate Schools in your local phone book. In my area there were only 2, so not a lot of choices. And check w/ local real estate firms, as if they are big enough they may have free in house training.
