CIV IV Warlords beginner who doesn't know how to do anything. help??

i just got Civilization IV + Warlords expansion and i was very excited to try it since that i like strategy pc games a lot, only to find that it's not a realtime-strategy like all the games i'm used to and it's a turn-strategy..
i can't understand anything in the game, i don't think there's a tutorial in it for beginners, and i searched the web for any giude but i couldn't find anything either..
what can a beginner do to understand how to play CIV IV??

Actually there is a tutorial but you won't be able to run it if you launch the Warlords expansion. Run regular Civ IV and it'll show up on the menu once it's loaded up.
