During a discussion a person said there was nothing one could say that would change their mind, how would medicine or science expand the value of truth is this mindset were to dominate all discussion or discovery?

Yes. "Reality is what it is." cannot be rebutted. Science moves reality's goalposts each time they make a new discovery, but the truth is that reality has not changed, only our knowledge has changed.

How could an uninterpretable description dominate all discussion or discovery. Insane people of every kind could rebut in their own mind any postulate.

which kinds of truths are we talking about here?

I mean: 'does the earth revolve around th sun?' is all together different from 'is there a God?'

there are things that medicine and science simply cant expand.

science continues because not all people think that way. actually, i'd argue that no one thinks that way, but that the person you were having a discussion with just didn't want to speak to you anymore because you probably didn't know what you were talking about.
