One of my ex-best friends, who's a guy, inappropriately touched me last night when we were at a movie. I've known him since 3rd grade, and we are highschool freshmen now. We were REALLY close friends....but i was very angry when he put his hand on my breast during the movie.

We were NEVER anything more than friends! honestly, never ever. he could have been any girl in that we were very close without being sexual.
i'm shocked and sad that he's changed somewhat.
Should i get over it ? Or should i force out an apology? i'm so confused!

If you've been friends for a long time, it might be worth it to give it a try to work out the issue.

Ask to talk with him. Tell him that you felt very angry.

He's a young guy, and probably wanted to take the relationship to a physical level, but didn't know a better way.

Let him know about boundaries that you are setting for your body.

Give him the opportunity to respond, and listen to what he says - he might apologize. If he doesn't, tell him that you feel that you need an apology, and ask for one.

See how it goes from there.

Apology for what? Did I miss something here? I don't care if this guy is your friend, but he isn't your bosom buddy and should keep his hands to himself. I wonder if it's one of the guys from yahoo answers that talks about this girl that is his best friend, but now he has fallen in love with her and wants to know what to do? If so, someone gave him some BAD advice!

Well, the question is what were u to doing when he tried this? Kissing? If so then it is not odd for a man to try to go further. But if it was out of the blue LET HIM KNOW HE WAS IN THE WRONG. Do not let guys do things like that to you. I hate guys who groap women, or treat women bad, period

Don't ignore it. Tell him just what you wrote here, that you are shocked, hurt and angry and you want an explanation and an apology. He needs to learn that what he did was wrong and that he didn't get away with it. If you don't see him after that, it his loss, not yours.

You mean after you kicked him in the butt? He's not a very good friend now. You can't force an apology, but he should know how his actions made you feel.

if you value the friendship and he does to have him apologize.. hes a freshman and his hormones are changing so he might think you are sending out mixed messages.. talk to him and find out why he might have done it and and try to go on from there

You need to tell him about it and stop being friends with him. That's really inappropriate. Don't apologize, it wasn't your fault.

what a PERVERT! I'm sorry, but I think you should tell him if he still wants to be friends with you, he should keep his hands to himself. A friend should respect you, not use you by touchin your, you know.
