If you are an extrovert / outgoing person, I don't see any reason why you cannot make new friendships in your present place!
In this world, there are so many people who would like to know you better, and want you as part of their friends' circle. You just have to reach out and make contact. The same support that you think you have in some other place, can be rebuilt all over again in your present place. Perhaps this new support system will be in tune with the new you that you have now become.
Since this is the time when should be earning, my advice to you is to concentrate on making more money and building your savings. As far as maintaining older friendships go, you can ask them over, or drive down to meet them once in a while.

We live in an apartment and our 2 yr old Miniature Pinsher has done really well. I do have to take her out to my parents or inlaws so she can get her share of exercise. She is a full bread minpin but I couldn't tell you what she was worth, she was a Christmas gift from my bf. She is adorable, lovable, and will take care of your home. Even though she's a miniature, she thinks she's a giant and barks like mad at approaching strangers. She loves to play, but I will warn you the first few months you might find allot of chewed up stuff. Daddy and I are really bad in the discipline department and since she got there (at 6 wks old) we let her sleep on our bed and has refused to leave. Her dog food is not expensive, we get her a small bag for like $5 and will last her for about a month. She has only gotten sick on me once and that's because the little sneaky got into the trash and ate something bad for her. Minpins have an extrordianry personality, you could swear they're human. I would suggest puppy school if you can, they can be a little stubborn and like mine SPOILED ROTTEN. Best of luck to you. I hope you find a great new friend!

Honestly, I have had the opportunity to move make more money and live in a higher class, but I wouldnt trade my family and friends for all the money in the world its much easier to have a support system close by then far away.

if you live with more money, your friends would still be your friends no matter where you live, and you still keep your money. but if you move, you friends would be closer but your money wont. so its better to have both rather than one of them

Move. It's hard to live without any friends to help you in the hard times.

if friendship is important to you, i would move even if i had less money. relationships seem to be more important for me than what money can buy me.
