I once belonged to a church. I left them. They have hated me since. I oppose a particular kind of society in the church. Since then, they are bent on destroying me. They spread stories about me wherever I go, and generate hatred towards me> How can this be stopped?

Live a truthful and good life (as best as you can). Let your reputataion precede you. Be confident in it. No one can catch you in a lie if you don't lie. No one can accuse you of stealing if you don't steal. You should sleep well at night knowing that you always try and do the right thing and not worry about what others think.

Beat the crap out of them. Threaten their families.
Suing them for slander would be the best bet. Call a lawyer now.
