I stubbed my index toe several weeks ago----it hurt like hell----up until now it was just black and blue, but I noticed today that the nail is cracked along the cuticle and it is loose. Should I pull it off now or should I let it fall off naturally?

Let it fall off, unless it's becoming snagged on things.
See the doctor, and he can take it off for you.

Go to a good foot Dr. I just had a similar thing happen and the doc just went ahead and removed it. It will grow back but you won't have the risk of snagging it etc which could cause worse damage. The worst part about removal was the shots but after that you don't feel a thing and it is pretty good about a week later. The first week there will be some sick stuff so be prepared but it will stop and it will begin to heal much sooner than waiting for the natural way of loosing it.

Bandage it if you're wearing socks so that the socks don't rip it off. If there is a little skin stuck to the nail and it comes off - it will hurt and it will bleed. Otherwise, it should fall off in a day or so.

Pull it off. I've done the same thing and I pulled it off and it healed up quickly. With the nail loose it causes discomfort.

Ouch... that must have really hurt!

Don't pull it off. Just leave it alone and let it come off naturally.

Let it fall out on its own. Id put a bandaid on it, so you dont catch it on something, cuz thats gonna really hurt if you do.
