I ask this because if you support the OCCUPATION of IRAQ, you are doing our country a great dis-service.

We are bound to lose and therefore you cannot care about our nation.. right?

All the great thinkers of this country and beyond now believe this is the case.

Hand_of_J..., Elections held under occupation are as valid as ones held with up to 15% of the votes uncounted. Try a different tack... Imperialism never works in the long run.

I vote you are correct in believing that we, as a nation, have done nothing right in the last few years and it is getting worse. Unless we are prepared to send 40,000 more troops as the generals requested back in 2004 and were ignored, we can't possible win. Even if we send the 40,000 troops, we are still looking at a decade (at the minimum) of insurgency!!!!!!!!!!!!

The U.S. almost never does anything right.

1. Reagan did not defeat communism--the U.S.S.R. defeated itself.

2. So, America hasn't been attacked in 5 years. It had only been attacked once before 9/11 in its history. And you think troops in Iraq have prevented further attack? You are as nutty as a peanut bar. And you WILL be attacked again. For now, they're attacking your troops without having to take a vacation in your cesspool. When your troops leave, be fearful. Be very, very fearful.

3. No, Americans do NOT give more to the needy than any other country. You don't even do enough to keep people from dying on your streets. Some estimates put the homeless at almost 1 million. You have an infant mortality rate higher than that of Cuba. As a percentage of GDP, you are woefully bad at giving aid to developing countries, well down the list.

4. Since WWII, the U.S. has failed miserably in its war record. Despite having the most money and therefore the best "war toys", it has trouble "winning" any war. Viet Nam--lost. Afghanistan--surrendered to allies. Iraq--losing battle.

5. So, Iraq has a sovereign government. Only at the cost of half a million Iraqi lives and counting (total since U.S. stuck its nose in and forced trade sanctions plus war 1 and 2). Instead of Saddam, they now have car bombs killing people at a rate faster than Saddam's wettest dreams. Yeah, you guys do oh so well. Saviours of the earth, you are.

Can the US do anything right in your eyes ?

You sound like Tokyo Rose with your cheap propaganda .
Tell me ohh wise one why are we bound to lose because you say so .

Now there has been a lot of bickering between conservative and liberals and lots of it has been really nasty but take a look at what you said

"We are bound to lose and therefore you cannot care about our nation.. right"

I could call you names but I wont because I think you are evil.
You try to act as if you a thinker but your not , you post here with the intent of dividing
I hope people see you for what you really are .

1) yes the USA has done many things wrong internationally....like sending aid to help countries that do not even like the US...BIG mistake, like coming to the defense of other countries when the cry for help at a cost of life to the US...YES big mistake....participating in the UN...BIG Mistake...
2) The US is NOT occupying Iraq, nor do we want to. We want the Iraqi people to be "up and running" so to speak so our troops can come home, so you have a very different perception.

as for America losing:
Americans play to win at all times. I wouldn't give a hoot and hell for a man who lost and laughed. That's why Americans have never lost nor ever lose a war.

Yes, the USA can do wrong, and definitely has done wrong internationally.

The thing is - the USA is a great country and has the potential to do some really amazing things internationally making a huge difference to the world as a whole.

But your country's recent international record is very bad. Perhaps if a larger percentage of the US population was more aware of international affairs it would lead to better US foreign policy?

Ousting Saddam Hussein was a service to all mankind. One less state sponsor of terror. What are you from the his Bath party?

I dont know if you know this but Iraq has held elections and has a soverign govt now. So how can you say we're bound to lose if we've already won? Watch the news much?

What great thinkers? John Kerry? Hillary Clinton? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Youre too funny dude! Keep posting mindless liberal garbage, please!

I believe we can. We can cut and run internationally, that would be wrong. We can coddle international terrorists, that would be wrong. We can fail to support our allies, that would be wrong.

Do you think we are occupying Germany, South Korea, Iceland, Serbia, Kuwait?

We are only bound to lose in Iraq if you liberals keep shooting off your big mouths.

I assume all the great thinkers are John Kerry, Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, Michael Moore, George Soros and the rest of the loony left.

Yes we can. We had. And we will.

Not only we did things wrong internationally. At time, our government do things wrong to the people in states. Like the tapping of our telephones.

That's why there are so many people/groups are monitoring what our government is doing.

We must watch out for those politician.

You are a mental case. The only dis service that is being done to our country is by little cowards like you. You could be out there doing something for this country not whimpering how the majority is wrong and you're right.
