I was just outside looking at the Moon with my telescope a few minutes ago and it looked normal to me. It is always bright. Maybe you just never paid attention to it before.

It isn't unnatural. This is nature. The air is clearer as fall approaches and there is less humidity in the air. The pollen seaqson is over.

Um, have you checked if you are in outer space?
just kidding!
hmmm...............well, I can't see any big moon or sun in the sky, mainly because it's raining outside.

The only truely logical explanation (to me) would probably have something to do with the relation of our rotation on the axis... Probably something seasonal... but don't take my true word for it, it's just a possibility.
Plus there has been rumor that somehow that Tsunami in the middle east had something to do with the Earth's rotation, so you may wanna check that out as well...
