Honey, it is not weird at all! Good grief...don't rush yourself. You have the rest of your life to worry about guys. I actually was/am my husband's first girlfriend, and he met me when he was 16. He was just shy. As far as asking guys out, I don't think there is anything wrong with that, as long as they are showing signs of interest. Good luck!

at 13 years old you are much more mature than the guys. they still think mainly of sports and throwing rocks at windows. It's not weird that you have not had a bf. It's really good that you haven't. let the boys mature a little more before your interest in them leads you down a road you wish you hadn't traveled. BUT ... it is also OK for you to ask a guy out and yes some guys do like that. you are at an awkward age. Don't worry, when you are 14 and then15 and so forth, you will look back and say "Hey, I don't need a guy to be happy. I am happy as I am" And if a guy respects that and shows you his true feelings without fear then you'll know then what it's like to have a great relationship with a young man. BTW ... isn't it your bedtime young lady? :)

1. No, it isn't wierd at all.
2. I would wait until about age 21 to ask a guy out on a DATE

....but if you are all going out with a group of people, you could ask a boy to go along with the group. Maybe you could become better friends that way, and maybe he would become a boyfriend if you both liked being around each other and liked doing other things together....like skating or rock climbing or dancing.

It gets kind of weird when 2 kids want to be girlfriend and boyfriend, but really haven't even talked much to each other, and have never found out what they have in common. If they haven't done that yet, it is much better to be just friends until they know each other really well.

You are entering one of the most exciting parts of life! I am serious, and you probably won't even notice until you are much older (like me, I am 40) Enjoy it, and have fun, but realize that you don't have to have a boyfriend to be popular or happy.

13 is way too young to have a boyfriend...wait untill you are at least 16. All boyfriends mean at that young age is a broken heart and confusion. Boyfriend = Love. and you are a way to young to have that kind of burden on you. Its ok to have a guy friend....but not a boyfriend. You have too much to learn and too much growing up to do. Having a boyfriend at that age is NOT a good thing. Don't even think of asking a guy out....you will be 16 before you know it....and the guys will be asking you out. Don't make yourself easy or trashy. You have to live with that for the rest of your life...

Hey it's totally not weird at all. I'm 14 and haven't had a boyfriend yet. You should just hang out with some guys and maybe they will start to like you. Good Luck!

It's not weird, it's actually more normal to not have had a bf yet. My parents did not allow dating until 16yrs, and boy did they know what they were doing! My friends who started dating in junior high had tons of issues by high school. While I was having fun and leading a healthy normal existence, they were struggling with possible pregnancies, sneaking out of the house, and drug and alcohol addictions. I am not saying dating causes these issues, but if a young adult doesn't make wise choices, it can lead to such issues. Protect your innocence and virginity! You have plenty of time to grow up! As far as asking boys out... I would wait on that. I know it's totally acceptable these days, but you are a lot more interesting to the boys when you let them initiate. Not to mention, keeping your reputation in good standing is more important. Classmates don't remember particular situations, but they will remember whether you were good or easy. I don't mean to sound so harsh, but I went through high school as a popular kid and I saw the results of those who did stupid things for love. They certainly lost their reputation in high school, and ultimately made life harder on themselves.

No it is not weird at all. It actually is pretty dang smart. Most girls start thinking at a young age that they have to have a boyfriend, but the reality is, they don't. When are girls going to learn its ok to be themselves for awhile and they do not need someone to complete or make them who they are. Be you for awhile, you have your whole life to be you with someone else! To answer your other question, no it is not weird to ask guys out, now days, its either way and usually no one seems to mind, and actually think of it as flattering! But remember wait on that, hang out with friends, be a teen, have fun, and learn to live without a boyfriend for awhile. Good luck in life, take care, and be you!

NOT weird at all!! Take your time, you are young and don't need to worry about boyfriends just yet. But, when it is time, a word of advice... let the guy do the pursuing, don't ask him out that is the guy's job.

It's okay to be thirteen and not have a boy friend. I was a friend to many boys but nobodies girlfriend through high school. I got tired of hearing about their girlfriends being real girls, but listened and after high school had many friends, and finally a boy friend--someone special,
