That guy that said he saw a 12.9 Grand Am did not mention the thousands of dollars put into it or the fact that that is probably as fast as it will ever go. Then you have some idiot telling you to do heads and cam and god knows what else to a V-6. That is a waste of money. For the cost to make your weak 6 go any kind of fast you can go buy a used Camaro or Firebird and just keep it as a weekend car. Or do what the other guy said and trade it in on a GTO. I got one and it is a great car. If you keep your grand am do not waste money to get performance out of a non-performance car. Instead of just being slow you will be broke and slow.

dont listen to the idiots who say, "the v-6 doesnt have enough power" i've seen a grand am gt run a 12.9. any poo, the fastest way is to add a supercharger. i dont have one, but i'm saving up. there also $3900, so it may be a while till you can afford one. i have a lot of stuff done to my 01 grand am. and i love my car. it runs a 15.3, but again, i am waiting on the supercharger. my goal is to run a low 14. thats about as fast as a 350z or a s2000. heres my cardomain, maybe it can help you with some ideas. and page 3 has all my engine stuff on it.

Take the six year old car trade it to the pontiac dealer and buy a 400 hp Pontiac GTO while there is a chance they might have one of them left. Pontiac GTO will be rare but what I like about mine is it is a sleeper because it looks like your car with hood scoups in different places.

fastest way, k&n drop in airfilter, replace the stock muffler with a flowmaster set up, then get Hypertech ecu programing. All you do is tell them what you have and they can reprogram your cars computer for more output. Biggest bang for the buck. Check them out at:
