Holy crap an all electric car, that goes 0-60 in just foru seconds, well whats the point of haveing this car if its going to cost 100,000 dollars to own. These people need to get back into reality and market to the everyday person not these a..hole rich people.

The technology has to start somewhere. The parts for an electric car such as the Tesla are not mass-produced already like normal car parts. All the parts for these cars, from the motors to the batterys to the electronic controls are custom designed. Thus it cost a TON of development money to design and build the parts used in these cars.

When the Automobile first came out in the Late 19th. Century, compared to a Horse, it was equally Radical and Expensive. A Plaything for the Rich.Then, the Cost came on Down.
