I've just turned 50 and been at it every day since I was 14 and I've noticed recently that my eye sight is diminishing, do you think that I should cut it back a bit to say twice a day or would wearing goggles help?

It won't make you go blind but can sting a bit if you get it in your eyes so the goggles will be good

Hi, do not worry, if you enjoy it so be it but it will not make you blind, give you buck teeth or any other problems. Humourous bit do you mean you cant see it any more.
Seriously though get you eyes checked regularly. There are many eye problems that can be halted / rectified if caught in time.

Nope, if it were true, none of us would be able to see the screen to respond to this post ;)

Unfortunately, once you hit 50, your vision starts to get worse. You're lucky it hasn't happened sooner. I started wearing glasses in elementary school and bought my first pair of contacts at 14.

Go to a doctor, he or she will be able to help. Good eyesight is important, especially when you're driving. Some people try to be stubborn and ignore their vision. Don't be one of them ;)
