there's nothing wrong with it at all - it's simply a preference. Like I don't like raisins in ANYTHING.
I don't like baked fruit
I don't care for rainy days.....
let it go and let the child / friend / husband / wife / or whomever EAT - it's not worth stressing over

My own personal experience tells me that if you have different foods on your plate, you should enjoy each as an entity. The palate tends to associate each item separately from another. By the way, my mom used to mix everything together and it made for an obnoxious medley of a meal. It looked more like what you'd throw to your dog. That turned me off so bad that I took extra effort to keep one food from touching another. If nothing else, it was a lot prettier.

yeah it may sound weird but some people want their food to be neat when they are about to eat it because that's the only way they could eat it, just don't like looking at stuff leaking over into the other food, it just looks unattractive and that leads to being totally grossed out, i'm like that a little
i know it all ends up in the same place once it goes down but you can't see it then and......it is what it is i guess
i'm sure that didn't make any sense but that's just how i see it

My ex-husband wouldn't let any of his food touch AT ALL. We would just by lots of seperated style tuperware plates similar to the baby food plates to eat from. I do the exact opposite and mix all my food up in the middle of my plate...it's all in what you like.

Some people have a phobia about food touching. Have you ever seen the television character Monk?

There's nothing necessarily wrong with that, its a little strange yes, but I know alot of people that do that.
Some people dont like their food to touch...maybe I guess it makes it taste different....lol not too sure
Or maybe in a more serious case, they may have OCD.

I know my wife does the same thing. For her it is a problem with combining different textures. From what I understand it is a symptom of slight autism.
She won't even eat pizza with cheese. She eats the cheese before she eats the dough.

My husbnad orders an enchilada, with rice and beans, and sour cream, then he piles them all on top of eachother, it is yummy, once a friend stopped by our table and told him he ruined his food, and he just said it would be mixed up in his stomache anyway, and it tasted better that way,

It's just a preference (unless your talking about the Jewish tradition). I like to mix my food together, my husband is the opposite

They don't want their corn to taste like applesauce or their bread to be soaked with corn juice. Dig?
If they ate the way I prefer, it'd be alright to let the foods touch. Boneless, skinless chicken breast, rice, beans. It's alright if that stuff touches....
