There can be alot of reasons behind a lump in your breast. She can have an infection of one of her glands...Mastitis. She can have a non-malignant lump. There is also something called fibroids...that are masses in the breast. The only way to know for sure is to have it checked out. She needs to get a mammogram and possibly get a biopsy of the lump. I will keep you both in my prayers. Lactation can accompany cancer but don't jump to conclusions until you have it checked out.

When I was 17 I found a lump about the same size. It was just a harmless cyst. Have her go to the doctor to get it checked out. It may be nothing.

when my ex had a lump in her breast after her third child, she read that cola, tea, coffee n chocolate can make lumps in the breast.
so since she didnt have any of these things except chocolate, she didnt eat any for 16 months, the lump was gone by then
she also drank herbal teas like red clover and used natural shampoos, toiletries and cleaning products
she also read every natural herbal healing book she could get her hands on, and when her kids got sick she fixed them with fresh juices & herb teas

I found a lump in my armpit shortly after I had my daughter (my mother had just died of non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma) The doc said it was normal while breastfeeding (that was 9 yrs ago) but she should ask her doctor

I have heard that many of lumps in the breasts are benign. It still better be checked out. It;s better to be safe than sorry.
