I've always liked purple or green eye liner with brown eye shadow. I also have green eyes, and I've found that if I put green eye liner with brown eye shadow my eyes will look lighter, but if I use the purple liner they look darker. It's really weird, but either way they stand out nicely.

I have the exact same coloring, except my hair is a more reddish brown. I know that Almay puts out a line called "Play" which includes eye shadows, liners, and mascara that's specially designed for different eye colors. I use their eyeliner for green eyes which is a deep burgundy on my bottom lashline, then a normal black liner on my top lid.
When it comes to eye shadows, I really like using coppers and golds. I found a great Hard Candy eyeshadow palette at Sephora that was around $28, kind of pricy, but I've used it every day for almost a year and a half and haven't run out! The palette is called, "Old Skool" and it has a dark sparkly brown, a lighter brown (which I also use as a brow-definer) a goldish orange, and an off white, which I use right under my brows. All of the colors last all day and won't ever crease. The colors are great for green eyes!
I know that everyone says to use brown mascara to open up your eyes, but when you have gold shadow, black mascara looks amazing against the green.
I hope this helped! Take care.

I have green eyes, pale skin as well and dark brownish/red hair (also irish). I find that browns and purples are great for making my eyes stand out. I also like black mascara (L'oreal Voluminous is excellent)!

The best contrast for green eyes is dusky purple shadow(think purplish-grey, not lavender).
I also have very green eyes, pale skin, and reddish brown hair. (In my case German/Irish.) I rarely wear make-up but when I do wear eye shadow, my eyes stand out so much people ask me if they're fake.

lucky u have green eyes. I have brown.
I would give your eyes that 'smokey eye' effect, like use purples and black.
