Well, the Beatles are known worldwide...and the entire world does not know the bible...so actually, John Lennon is probably right. You are clearly a very narrow-minded person.

He didn't say "bigger than the Bible." He said "bigger than Jesus." He wasn't saying the Beatles were better, or more important, just that they were more popular than Jesus, which was possibly true.

A few other things:

There were four Beatles, not one Beatle.

You have four sentences above, but you've only punctuated as though there are two.

As for "thinks" and "sucks": do you always use the present tense in reference to somebody who's dead? Or do you just not even know that he is?

Perhaps before you try accusing someone of sucking, you might want to get a clue yourself.

This is an old issue from the early 60's when Lennon and the Beatles were huge. Now that you have climbed out from under your rock, maybe you could ask a more 21st century question...

Even had John Lennon remained alive, I doubt that the Beatles might have entirely reunited for something instead of a few redone songs (like "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love"). Each character was once so one of a kind, and it sort of feels as despite the fact that every member was once found to be as positive on his possess as with the band. Still, anything amusing to do on this generation of iPods is to suppose what might have occurred had they resolved their variations and stayed in combination. Take the nice solo songs from every yr and positioned them right into a unmarried forty five-minute playlist: "Imagine" might were at the equal album as "Uncle Albert"; "Band at the Run" might have integrated "Dark Horse" and "Whatever Gets You Through the Night". It makes for extraordinarily fascinating listening!

John Lennon said it like this. He believed the Beatles in their time were more famous then Jesus Christ in HIS time meaning when he was alive in his flesh. For the record the Beatles don't suck. They had a God given talent to make music.

When he said the Beatles were more popular than God, it was a lament, not bragging or being to full of himself. It was a comment on just how big they had gotten and how much attention media was giving them. He felt they didn't deserve all the attention, and that it was taking away from more important things in the world...like God. So calm down. He's dead anyways

Actually, he said that the Beatles were "bigger than Jesus" and his comment was totally taken out of context. What he meant was that most kids would rather go to a Beatles concert than go to church. He meant it as a fact and a fact that was sad. He felt that it was too bad. He also stated in that interview that he wished that the church would do something to rectify the situation, but he didn't think that would happen. "Jesus was alright but his disciples were thick and ordinary." In other words, he expected more of the same "bla bla bla", and that's exactly what we've gotten.

John said, "We're bigger than Jesus, now." He was simply stating that it was REDICULOUS how much hysteria the band generated. The same christians that adamantly misunderstood the Bible also misunderstood this and began burning Beatles records in protest. Same junk still goes on today...

I think that John Lennon has been dead a long time and he isn't thinking anything anymore

That was meant as a joke. It was taken badly, but John was kidding when he said that. By the way, it was Jesus, not The Bible he said it about.
....And the guy was murdered over twenty years ago, he doesn't think anything anymore and...
he's not full of anything anymore
