First it was the Catholic church saying that Saint Nick was no longer a saint, and now, scientist are saying that Pluto is not classified as a planet but now is a planetoid???? What the heck is up with this??? Next thing you know we all will be told that our planet is not our planet but someone elses that we took it over in a hostile take over.

St. Nick Was never a saint, St. Nicholas Bishop of Myra was. He was the one that became St. Nick and later Santa clause (dutch protestants.) and yes, pluto is now a dwarf planet. Poor pluto...now he is really a little iceball with a friend spinning round the outskirts of out solar system. lol, hostile takeover of a planet...It'll be peaceful relocation-right after the mass genocide...

Pluto and its largest satellite, Charon, have often been considered a binary system because they are more nearly equal in size than any of the planetoid/moon combinations in the solar system, and because the barycentre of their orbits does not lie within either body. However, the IAU has yet to formalize a definiton for binary dwarf planet, therefore Charon is regarded as a moon of Pluto for now. Two smaller moons, Nix and Hydra, were discovered in 2005. Pluto is smaller than several of the natural satellites or moons in our solar system

pluto is now considered a "dwarf planet". Really. They found an "extension" to the solar system and discovered pluto has other "dwarf planet neighbors". Theres even a dwarf planet named Xena. I guess their going to have to recall all the childrens books that say plutos a planet.

The mnemonic rhymes some of us learned for remembering the names of the planets are easy to change, since Pluto was at the end:
* My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nuts
OR
* Me Very Excited Me Just Sat Upon Nails

Some scientists decided to make it no longer a planet. So now it is a dwarf planet. I dont like how they did that because now u can't do that little rhyme you used to do in like 2nd grade. My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pies. Now i don't know what to do to remember them since i was taught that way.....tooo bad

What is the issue if science redefines what pluto is? This is science, not religion/ Scientists are perfectly capable of reforming their views on things as information increases. Religion on the other hand does not.
