1972. It was a shadow of the 1968. Then gone forever. Oh they did build a "car" that bore the Javelin name 1973-1974. But it was a "wanna be". Of cousre AMC is also gone forever, being bought by Chrysler in the early 1980's.

The best one AMC produced was the AMX, a real car. The Javelin was based on that one.

1974. The ones from '73-'74 used the same bodywork as the '71 and '72 - more or less - but with somewhat detuned engines to pass emissions rules.
