I have never been anxious to die. The afterlife can wait until after I'm done living.

The question has plagued men and women for centuries.
Study the philosophers and the various religions from around the world. With a number of recorded near life experiences now, we more than any generation may have some inkling that what is in the Bible may in fact be the truth. There does seem to be some form of existence beyond what our human mind understands.
The other stand thing is about the various stories that we hear about how people from all walks of life can sometimes do the strangest things. Like an old woman lifting the corner of a 3,000-pound vehicle off of a loved one who is pinned underneath. Or someone who puts himself or herself in a very dangerous position, like running into a fire, to save someone and comes out without a scratch.
Or my own dad who during WWII was on a ship in the Pacific Ocean that was on fire and sinking. He was trapped in a room below deck with only one small portal to escape. Somehow, he got through the small opening and fell three stories into a life raft unconscious. The only reason the people in the life raft did not through him overboard (as they thought that he was seriously hurt and there were many more people in the water who could survive easier), but two of the people in the lifeboat recognized my dad as one of their friends and saved him. Thus, I would not be here if he had not survived, as I was born after the war.
Seek and yea shall find - but please do not be in a hurry to get there. It will come soon enough. As a person gets older, time seems to pass faster and faster.

I kind of like it here, this place is really great, blue sky, trees, oceans, furry animals, and some good people too. I'm not to much in a rush to see Pope Paul, make small talk with Mother Teressa, see obnoxious dead relatives, or goof around with 15 celestial virgins. No, I am not anxious, I would rather stick around for awhile and enjoy this miracle called life, which nature has so graciously bestowed upon me.

I think most people are afraid of death, but I am not. I feel confident that I am doing the best I can on this plane and doing the best I can for others as well. The only thing I truly fear is the "process" of death and the loss of dignity while dying. The death itself will be just the next adventure after I'm through with this adventure which I intend to play out until the very end, as should you, sweetie.

You go somewhere where you die. Only a person who has been there and has come back from a near-death experience will tell you. I hope to see god when I reach the afterlife.

Don't be anxious to die, it will be there. Yes, there is an afterlife but it is not that good for those who commit suicide.

Since the death of my mother, I have been wondering so much what it is like out there on the other side. I have heard that when we die that we all go to heaven, and we fly around with wings, and we don't hurt anymore, and we are with our loved ones that past away before us. It is a wonder thing, and I can't wait to be with my mom again, but I'm not going to take my life just to be there quicker!! God knows when to bring me home!!

i think everyone wonder about afterlife. but people usually wait to discover this, because they know that when they leave this life, they will not come back to it (at least not the same way they were).

Hi. No, I don't mind waiting. People have tried to imagine it for centuries. We have never been able to capture it. So I am trying to make this place as much like heaven as I can while I am here. How about you?
