Maybe a pH balanced cleanser -- something that won't damage your skin's natural barrier (in other words, a cleanser that won't damage your skin). I think at 12, it's the right time to start using a cleanser and facial moisturizer.

As for pH balanced cleansers, one is Neutrogena's Extra Gentle Cleanser. That's about the only good drugstore brand cleanser out there. Has a pH of about 5.6 to 6.2

*Our skin's pH is 5.5 so a cleanser should have a pH in that range or better yet, exactly 5.5. Reason for this is, cleansers with roughly the same pH as our skin doesn't strip it of as much of its essential natural oils as cleansers that are extremely above or below the 5.5 number. Ex. Regular Soap Bars -- soap bars have high pH numbers (Dove, for example, has a pH of 7). Don't wash your face with those! It's alright for the body, since our body's skin is more protected but our face is exposed to daily environment crap ... so, you got to care for it more.

Others are:
MD Formulations Basic Facial Cleanser (pH 5.5)
Dermalogica The Bar (pH 5.5)
AHAVA Soaps (pH 5.5)
Earth Science Cleansers (all cleansers; pH 5 - 5.5)

As for masks, those are really unnecessary and for moisturizers, this is really a personal choice. Try out different kinds and pick one you like. :)

Explain to your mom that you want to take care of your skin while its easy to prevent wrinkles and age spots. At 12, maybe you should stick to cleansers and moisterizers. Try brands like Neutrogena and Aveeno for radiant and healthy skin.

Try bronzer. It is a tinted powder that when applied to the face or body, it darkens your skin slightly and makes you look tan.

You should get to put masks on! If you don't then your face is going to be covered with unwanted pores, pimple, ect.
