Do you realise that this is the first time that there has been only 1 Midlands side in the top flight? Villa are flying the flag and they are doing in some style. I have taken to them this season (not jumping the bandwagon, but jut wishing them well), together with Fulham and Reading, I hope they really can reward their fans with a trophy.

i'm a guy United fan,yet i'm going to respond to this question.at present the EPL is now between guy United,Liverpool and Chelsea.Realistically Aston Villa can qualify for the Champions League.I do desire guy United win their hat-trick of EPLs.yet whilst Aston Villa win the EPL,i'm going to additionally be happy for Martin O'Neill and his men.And Aston Villa will become the 1st underdog champion in 14 years. The final underdog EPL champion became Blackburn in 1995.finally a collection has broken into the ideal 4,it is what i've got been looking forward to.

As a long-time fan of Martin O'Neill, it's been hard not to take to them, especially when you realise that the only player he's bought is Petrov, so he's pretty much turnaround the same squad O'Leary had. They rode their luck (or Chelsea's inability to finish) yesterday, but they look like they will do a lot better this season than the last few.

Martin "i-want-the-job" O'Neill has raised Villa's game one notch - but he'll need a few topflight players to be title contenders - present crop just don't have it even when in form.

It is impressive to see a manager get something out of players that others could do nothing with.
