The only way for you to know if you are ovulating is to take your basal body temp each morn, same time and before you get up. You should see a pattern in temps that leads up to and after ovulation. You can get the basal thermometer at Wal-Mart for about 8 dollars. I use a wonderful FREE website called Fertilityfriend.com...it graphs your temps for you, keeps track of your fertility signs, tells you when you ovulate and also tells you if there is an implantation dip in your temps. You can also use Ovulation prediction kits, but they only measure your LH surge and give you a ball park time for ovulation...they do not pin point it. Oh, and it is possible to be ovulating while you do not have your period, just like it is possible to have a period and not ovulate.

If you have been off birth control since feb you can still have it in your system. That may be why you cant get pregnant , not to mention, why your still having irregular periods. There is a small chance that you could get pregnant but they usually tell women, if you are trying to concieve, and on contraceptives, you may want to think about getting off BC a year ahead of time

yeah it can take up to a year or more for bc to cycle out of ur system. my girl is in the same situation. shes got an imbalance where she bleeds 2X a month and its irregular. she was on diane for a while to regulate, its also bc. so shes been off it for a few months but i already know when we try to conceive in november it could be a while. not just cuz of the bc but the hormonal imbalance also. ive talked to experts and they assure me that irregular menstrual cycles dont mean you cant conceive, they just make it more challenging is all. i hope it works out for u though. definitely consult a licensed physician, dont take everything on here for gospel. good luck

Yessss! My cousins little girl just turned a year old in may and has had her period off and on and since she thought she couldnt get pregnant she has not been serious about birth control so she goes in to get some and they tell her she is 5 months pregnant!! due in October! be careful or be hopeful. whichever suits your situation.
