Have a bachleors degree, but cannot find a job in this area of New York State. I have a 6 yr old son and have recently became a widow which leaves me very little money to continue my education. I guess what I am asking is if getting an MBA would be as much a waste of money as getting my bachelors?

You have to check the placement rate for the MBA program and also look at starting salaries for graduates. It totally depends on the program... you have to be careful.

That's a tough one. I'm working on my bachelors and stopping there. I don't see a need to go any furthur unless I had an actual goal that required it. Otherwise I constantly hear friends who are smart as a whip and well educated and can't get a job because they're "overqualified". Again, I wouldn't do it unless you need it for a specific job you want.

Sorry for your loss and best of luck to you.
