Is this irrational?

I don't like the thought of someone seeing me urinate outdoors. the other week I was in a desert and 200kilometres from the nearest place, I was desparate for the toilet but waited over 2 hours before getting to an actual toilet so I could pee.

I don't mind people seeing my genitals at all and I don't mind urinating in a public toilet. I just can't bear the idea of someone seeing urine coming out of my genitals anywhere but in a proper toilet of some kind.

My friends have said I am being irrational over this and that it's normal to pee behind a tree or bush in the middle of nowhere. Are they right about this, I can see their point in some ways but I still find the idea just wrong.
Does anyone else think like me on this matter.

I don't know why your friends think it's normal to pee outside, most everyone was brought up to use a toilet. It's actually pretty gross

I don't feel comfortable peeing in front of other either. But I have had to pee behind a bush a few times while camping. It's no big deal really. I would say you aren't being irrational. Think of what people done before toilets though!

Dear Mr Monkeyman - well I take it that you are a man.........this is all down to bad potty training and subsequent lack of self confidence. Mr Mills is now well into his seventies, but he still like to play the 'who can pee the cigarette ends down the urinal fastest' game.

Your second paragraph says that you like people to see the urine coming out your genitals when you are in proper toilet. Does that mean you like both sexes to watch you? You will have to go to ourside outhouses, probably, if you want both sexes to watch you. Yours seems to be an unusual habit, but everyone to his/her own.

I understand how you feel. It is really OK to feel the way you do. Your friends are entitled to think the way they do, but I think more people agree with you. Bathroom stuff is a private matter.

its not irrational to feel that way. Your friends are simply more modest then you. Nothing wrong with that. If you don't want to then don't. They are the screwed up ones if they want to watch you.

Are you a stripper because I would never be okay with complete stangers seeing my genitals OR peeing regardless of where it was ...that's sick!
