Consider it a lesson learned and forget about your $15... it's just not worth your time and energy to recover. Why not start your own business from home? You could do a variety of things, from ironing and sewing, to consulting and interior decorating... it's up to you! And it won't cost you $15... go to your library and research some ideas... be your own boss instead of working for someone else. Consider shopping for the elderly or cleaning homes... whatever you want to do. If you're good at your work, the word will spread and you will have too much business to handle! Go for it! This is your opportunity... and a wake up call!

I am not completely familiar with how PayPal works, but I know you have to link up your credit card to it. Most credit card companies offer a policy that allows you to refuse payment to a company. Some even will refund you the amount if the company/person won't refund you. I know my Citi Visa Card will refund me up to $300 as long as I send the merchandise any store won't return. I haven't had to ever use it, and I'm sure the policy is limited to a certain amt. of times a year. But you could try looking into that. Even though it's only $15, that money could be better spent on groceries or other things your family needs.

If you paid with a check, put a stop check on the payment.
If you paid by credit card, usually you can explain things and get the charge removed.
If you paid in cash, money order, or paypal, consider it the cost of the lesson, and actually its rather cheap.

Contact the better business bureau. I would say to file a claim with paypal, but I do not believe losses are covered unless they are over $25.

File a claim with PayPal. My experience has been that unless the seller has overwhelming proof that they sent the materials you purchased, PayPal will probably side with you and you'll get your money back.

You might not. Next time remember that legitimate work at home companies never ask you to pay a fee up front.

sorry to hear you got scammed, but if you need to pay for something like that, it usually is a scam. I doubt you'll ever get your money back, but you can try to report it to paypal.
