What do you look for in a person who is running for the precidency of your country?

I go past political party, I look for thr persons moral character ,his beliefs, his action or service as a public person in goverment ,what he can do for the country in terms of education, jobs, health care , a strong defence but not combatitive in the sence of aggression , but to look for diplomatic solutions instead of war , but always maintining a strong defence with respect , a person of the likes of John F.Kennedy!

We don't have a president, but it's a good question. Both my countries, Canada and the UK have prime ministers. The first thing I would want to know is, who are his friends? Who will be looking for favors and influence in the government. I would also want to know about his background and education, and whether he's pro-business or pro-people.
We don't vote for a prime minister; whoever is the leader of the party that wins the election assumes the post.

Perhaps you will recall Bay of Pigs and Vietnam. JFK was not the peace lover you seem to recall him as. I'm very happy with this President and his courage to do the right thing. You can go the diplomatic route too far. You'll find nukes in your back yard.

I will also look for a person who has experience in managing a large organization whether it be government, business, military or whatever.

I'm sick and tired of eloquent politicians who can't tie their own shoes.
