I don't smoke very often but I have a friend that smokes before work, just like having a cup of coffee. He smokes during work (he works construction) and always on the way home. Then after dinner and before bed. To me it seems he is high all day. I like it every now and then but jeez louise, I don't think I would want to feel that way all day, every day. I always thought marijuana wasn't addicting but now I think maybe it is. Does anyone out there know the real answer?

Yes it is just like any other drug. Therefore just because it is one of the few drugs that help each other to get along and have peace in this world it is deemed illegal. go figure

yes, I think so It could also just be habit forming! I don't have anything against it. but people I know that smoke it often smoke like people smoke cigarettes every hour or after they eat.. and he might only feel the high from it only for about 10 Min's because he smokes it more then you do, the longer you go with out it the higher the high you'll have, even from crappy weed. anything habit forming is addicting, like having to have gum all the time, or bit-ting your nails but, that's physiological. cigarettes would be physical, the body having withdraw symptoms.

I know a lot of people that do and yeah every thing you do can become addicting. The one guy I know has to smoke. He can't focus if he doesn't smoke at least once a day. Who cares any way. Just don't let it run your life. Sorry I can't give you an actual answer.

Yes it is addicting. The only reason your friend keeps smoking so much is because his body has become so immune to it and addicted that he needs to smoke more and more often in order to feel just a little bit of its effects. It could start of as something that you do every so often but eventually you will need to do it more often to feel it. Don't fall into the habit. Its a drug and ALL drugs are addicting, no matter what they are.

Like any other DRUG, whether legal or illegal, if used every day or in this case every few hours, it will overtake your life and you will not be able to function without it.

Ask your friend to not smoke it for one day... if he gets angry at the suggestion or starts to make excuses then yes he is addicted...

No way it's addicting, but I'm sure that most people who enjoy it feel like they would like to do it again and probably will. It's no diffferent than sexual orgasm, not addicting but once you do it, it's doubtful you'll want to stop.

It's not addicting, in that not smoking it won't cause withdrawal symptoms, but your friend is abusing it by being high all the time.

His being hooked is psychological, not physical.

anything that makes you calm down from stress everyday or makes you losen up is ruling over your life and has become your idol and then you have opened up a big threshold of mess of addictions and etc.

There are no physically addicting components in marijuana at all. Some experts suggest it can be psychlogically addictive though.Noone will have physical syptoms from with drawing from it,but they may have mood swings etc. This will not last long.
