Isn't it a little TOO early to pick a winner just yet...
But since you ask, then you shall receive an answer, and my pick is the "New York Islanders"
I recently read in my local paper that they recently signed Mike Dunham as a backup goalie to Rick DiPietro...Now that's a good 1, 2 punch I'm sure will win a lot of games in the upcoming hockey season for sure.
(I'm from Minnesota, by the way, and I'd like the Wild to make the playoffs, at least, but they won't get far, though.)

My dark horse is Nashville, just a gut feeling. My gut is abnormally correct most of the time. Look out for the Flames though, they are a wickedly better team than last year.
