I am 56, American. I want to know if I am younger than most people in the world, or older.

56 is way older than the worldwide average - average is probably closer to maybe 30. Some countries in Africa age *expectancy* is less than 56.

Tend to have a "bulge" of younger people due to population growth, think of it as a pyramic, young at bottom, older as you go higher. That's somewhat an exaggeration but gives the idea.

57 yr old. One more year left. How sad is that answer? Really I don't know that answer there are many things to factor into that answer, i.e war (Iraq and other places) diseases(AIDS in Africa and other nations) and just plain stupidity, i.e. do we really need a warning label not to use blow-dryer in the tub?

most people live to be around 80-100 if they die from old age,and are healthy...so you are kinda young
