Is 13 too young for everyday school makeup?

What is everyday school makeup? If you have bad skin, I think that wearing some coverup is OK. Also, a little lip shiner. BUt nothing else is necessary. Really, young girls in too much makeup look so SILLY! Don't start the makeup rat race until it's necessary. This is from a middle-aged woman.

Not at all. I started wearing everyday makeup at 13, and that was a long time ago. My mother took my sister and me to Merle Norman (a cosmetics store that also taught you how to apply makeup). When my daughter turned 12 she started wearing everyday makeup. So did most of her friends. They weren't into that Gothic look - thank goodness! - and I hope you aren't. But if you are talking about just normal makeup, then I say to your parents "Don't sweat it". There is so much other more scary stuff to worry about. This is no big deal.

Most teenagers here in Jamaica wear uniforms to school and makeup is strictly forbidden. 16 is probably an ok age to begin wearing a touch of eyeliner and soft lip gloss.

For now, you can experiment on weekends but everyday? Lots of time later on for that! ;-)

How about getting a good quality skin care system, including cleanser, toner and moisturiser? That will form the great habit of taking good care of your skin which is the foundation of your outer, facial beauty anyway. That kind of beauty lasts a lifetime!

Well, I'm pissed at my mom coz she wont' let me wear make up and I'm 13 too. She sais the sooner u begin to wear make up the sooner u will start aging and getting wrinkles. bUT, just use some light lip gloss, nothing too dark. Light pink is a nice and clean color. Remember Less is More. If I were u I would wait till I'm in high skewl to start wearing make up. Besides some girls in myskewl that wera make up look really ugly coz they don't even know how to put it on. lol. If ur really young and u wear make up it looks a little silly.

no, im 13 but i dont wear make-up everyday but i do wear it alot. Dont wear foundation, save that till ur older. Right now just wear some shadow that compliments ur eyes, a little mascara and light eyeliner sometimes and find a few good lip glosses and mix it up. You can wear make-up, its ok just dont over do it or people will think ur are like a little slutty. Go for a NATURAL look!

I struggle with that question myself. My daughter is only 5 and wants to wear lip stick, etc. I think I will let her wear make-up when she turns 13. What I would like to do though is be really involved in the process.
1. Go to the store together and pick out young colors. (no reds, black or dark colors)
2. Use mostly sparkles or gloss.
3. Help her learn to apply it tastefully.
4. Realize that my little girl is growing up and help her do it in a healthy, tasteful manner.

Hahaha thats a funny question. You should come to my school (im in jr. high) Were all 12-14. EVERY one wears make up..some put to much on tho.....Ever hear of K.I.S.S? Keep it simple stupid (but i perfer Keep it simple sweetie) That is the greatest rule i have ever heard. It goes with everything, like projects, clothes, make up, hair......wooow im getting off topic! Lol sorry, ok bak to the whole is it to young thing. I think, no. Go ahead and wear that make up! Its not like it will hurt you (unless you dont wash ur face) I tottally think that you shouldnt worry about it. I suggest that you go with a concealer for a few spots....like pimples, scars, or what ever you feel bad about on you face. Go with mascara....defiantly!! I use black, but i want to use clear bc it makes you eyes pop with out looking dark. I do not suggest eye liner tho. It makes you look un natrual, and thats not good during school. If you do use it tho, go sparingly, and not on the bottom eye lid. Eye shadow is fine too, i perfer a shine or glitz, or maybe a bit of color, but not that big bold blue you see on clowns. A splash of blush, a swipe of lipgloss, and voila, you can prove to everyone that 13 is NOT to young for make up when you look that good ;)

Stick to curling your lashes with a metal curler and subtle colored lipgloss. You dont need a lot of make up at 13, worry about your skin more. If you have flawless skin, you will look good even without makeup.

not at all. assuming you're in 7th or 8th grade, that is the normal age. but dont pack it on. it will look like you tried too hard. just wear this:
-foundation [ you probably shouldn't wear it, but if you REALLY need it [[ different pigments in ur skin, etc.]] then go for it. ]
-cover-up [ on blemishes and under eye circles only ]
-bronzer
-blush
-mascara
-eyeliner [ reallllllly little amount ]
pick and choose. DO NOT WEAR A LOT OF ANY OF THIS!!
i dont usually wear foundation, cover-up or blush. if you have nice skin, exchange foundation with tinted mousturizer. MAKE SURE YOU wash your face and mousturize [especially mousturize under eyes. ] before applying. and take it off before you sleep, or it will clog pores.

no, as long as it's simple. Mascara, a tinny bit of eyeliner and lip gloss should do it...no heavy eye shadow or sparkles. I'm thirteen, and a lot of girls at school go over the top and CAKE the makeup on...it looks ridiculous.
