You can tell them that you love them and that you will be thinking of them, be upbeat and positive about the surgery and that the Dr.'s will take the best care of them, send them flowers, and cards to let them know that you are there for them, call them and tell them that you care what happens to them. always smile for them.

You can be upbeat and encouraging. You can talk about all the positives, but you cannot guarantee them that it will turn out OK. Tell them you will pray for them and get everyone you know to pray for them. Pray is a powerful tool when someone is having major surgery. My husband has had 4 open heart surgeries in the last 15 years. Each time our families, friends, neighbors and church families prayed. Even my online community prayed. God does listen to prayer. Tell them you'll be there all the time, waiting for them to come out of surgery. Knowing someone is there waiting, loving them is a powerful motivation to fight to stay alive. May God use his/her doctors as instruments of His awesome healing power. May He give you both the strength you need in the days and weeks ahead. God bless!

Just keep reassuring them that they are going to be okay and you are going to be right there throughout the surgery, let them know that in thought, you will be holding their hand during the operation, and you will be there when they wake up. Just stay positive around them and reassurance is the key!! I hope things work out well for everyone concerned!!
