This is not the same as a chameleon changing colour because of emotion, which they also do.

they have a third eye in the middle of their head u no. and hu does that person think they are tryin to bit*h about ur spelling

Who knows how it works... That would be pretty sweet to see though.. Maybe they have a sixth sense.. and last time i checked you could only see with your eyes, you can feel and sense with your other senses fruitbat. It could be a memory thing for the chameleons... like they remember what a certain thing feels like, so they change to the colour they remember changing to when they had sight... who knows but its pretty cool all the same

They really don't change color to match their surroundings, it is based on emotion/territoriality etc... The most they can do to match their environment is change from brown to green or back, in which case they basically have a 50/50 shot if they're blind.

Please learn to spell - "it changes colour to match ITS surroundings". Like He - His, She - Her/Hers, It - Its.
It's is an abbreviation of It is, or It has.
Blind chameleons? Why should eyes be the only things a creature sees with?

I believe I heard once that they actually change colors based on their emotions, or the temperature.
