My sister was the grim reaper a few years ago. She won second place to "Ms. PacMan," lol. She's rather tall and thin so all she had to do was slouch a little and the effect was awesome. All she had to do was tap someone with her sythe/sickle? (made from a broomstick and foil over cardboard), and people would clear a path for her. Hilarious!
