I think you, he, and a neutral third party need to "talk" things over. This way you can talk to each other without feeling too "embarrased" or coming on too "strong" on to each other.
By the way, this is the wrong area to ask this sort of question.

That;s the best way to start out a relationship, being friends. I used to play football with my husband and all our friends!! I tried to get him like my girlfriend, but he liked me instead!!
