I am throwing a first birthday party for my daughter in which I have 50 party favors for girls and 50 for boys-100 total. Yes there will be a lot of children there and I would appreciate some ideas in which to organize the hand outs so that no one child tries to sneak receiving two party favors. Thanks in advance!

Okay I am throwing a 1st birthday party in my home city where both sides of my extended family are coming which means about 50 party bags for girls and 50 for boys. Both my husband and I are from the same city and are very close to our extended families so have no choice but to invite them all as we are all extremely close.
I already know various answers to this question but would like to find out any other new ideas. Maybe someone out there is more organized and familiar with children's parties than I am. Thanks.

The party is at a park near the beach not in a house. I only paid for the party favors and everything else is taken care of by my family. The great thing about having a large family is you can still invite everyone because everyone contributes something whether it be food or decorations.
Thank you for all your answers and critisms. The more options you have the better you are able to plan for something and figure out the best way to implement your ideas.

I would ask another adult to hand out the loot bags while your daughtor is opening her gifts. This gives the children something to do, as a 1st birthday is a grand time for parents/adults to watch, children don't have the patience to watch a child so young try to open there gifts. Keeps all the kids busy. If you can - put names on the bags (If you can't think of all the names - give each parent a marker and hand the parent x amount of bags for that family and have them write the name(s) - that way come home time there is no fight as to who has who's bag. You will know whether they have their own or not. If you already have something planned for the other children attending the party to do during gift time - such as decorating their own muffins - then i find it best to hand them out as they leave. Keep the bags on top of the bookshelf/counter - whatever flat surface that is semi close and up high by the door to hand out as they go, with a smile and a thank you for coming. Good Luck to You and Happy Birthday to the Little One!

I have found that the best way to assure that no child is left out of receiving a party bag is to keep them out of sight and away until the children actually start to depart. As each child leaves you can hand out the goody bag and the child also has a treat to take home with him/her. Sounds like you're going to have a great party. Be sure to have at least 10 extra bags for those unexpected guests that may arrive. Nothing is more embarassing than running short. Good Luck!

That's a LOT of children for a first birthday party, don't you think? I hope you have a LOT of help, or a really big house and yard.
Anyway, have the children line up on either side of your front door, and give each child a bag as they leave the party. Have two people at the door with you, one for the girls, one for the boys. That way, no one can get an extra bag. If an adult asks for an extra bag, tell them politely, "We have a certain number of bags, and you wouldn't want another child to go without so yours can get more, do you?" If they persist, tell them, "One child, one bag." Say each with a smile, and let them go on their merry way. They'll probably talk about you, but who cares? You stuck to your guns, and they'll just be unhappy people who will probably raise unhappy children.
Next year, you'll know who to invite for the next party.

If you can change up the contents just a litle in each bag, it's a lot of fun drawing numbered tickets. Give each child a numbered name badge, making sure to write down on a piece of paper their name & number before the drawing.
Then get their attention and ask everyone if they have a name badge because on their badge is a number, Place 1 ticket or piece of paper in a bowl numbered 1 thru 50 and have a drawing.
The excitement the children have screaming out they've got a winning ticket creates memory, laughter and fun. Plus, you've made sure each child receives one. The children wont need to know that each person will win a bag, the excitement alone of winning is a win win situation

You should call out each children's name when you are ready to hand out favor bag. Have guest sign in their children's names when they arrive to the party. Make sign sheet with two column one for girls and other one for boys. Write the names on the bag will help too.

Simply hand them out as the guests are leaving. That way you can make sure each child gets one. I would be more concerned that I made enough that every child at the party gets to have one not that someone got an extra.

1st if the bags are not the same like some for boys and them would have boy iteams and girls have girls make sure you mark which is a boy bag and which is a girl bag.but they are all the same it does not matter.what i do when i give my son birthday party i don't give out that bags untill the end and that is when they are going out the door and i give it to the parents.or what you can do is make a list of the names on paper and mark them off as you go.i do it at the end cause ever one does not leave at one time so when they leave i give the bags like i said to the parents.

Geez, your poor kid. She won't even know what is going on.
Give the favors out as the kids leave. Put a reminder note by the door reminding each parent to see you to insure their child gets a favor bag as a thank you for coming.

hand them to them on the way out the door, or have a drawing with numbers and put numbers on the bags or something. 100 kids for a first birthday is alot, have fun with that

I guess putting names on them would be to easy? Or maybe don't worry about it and just give them all out, because what are you going to do with left over party favor bags?
