A while back I asked for name ideas and I finally found one I like. I wanted a Celtic name and Braedon Cael Sanders. Just wanted to see what people thought. I'm using it regardless lol but just wanted to see what people think.

lol you can't pronounce Braedon? It's Bray-don. Sounds like Haydon or Clayton, and those are all very common names. This is just a bit different. People name their kids with all kinds of nationalities in the US do they not? Maybe I'm Celtic! lol.

Hey what's wrong with being Irish Lol! I'm not and I didn't say I was Celtic I said what if I was lol. I'm not offended some people just wouldn't know a good name if it bit them in the butt. How would it be hard to pronounce Braedon. Should I spell it Brayden is that easier to spell and read? It's the same name just more simple. I'm asking just for that reason, to get an idea of what people think of the name. Why do people ask half of the questions on this site? Because they are bored or for any other reason why analyze the reason behind the question?

I like it. I'm all for names that aren't your every day names. I picked out my daughter's name (Sadie) because, #1 it's a family name, #2, I didn't know anybody who was naming their daughter Sadie. Well, when I put her birth announcement in the paper, there was only one other birth announcement besides her's published that day. It was another little girl. Her name? Sadie! I couldn't believe it!! And, another thing, Disney Channel came out with a new show called "Naturally, Sadie" within a few months of my daughter's birth. But, anyway, I think Braedon Cael is a great name- just cross your fingers and hope Disney doesn't come out with "Naturally, Braedon"!! Lol....good luck and God bless!!

I think the spelling and nationality is just fine. Braedon sounds nice, but then Cael after it looks redundant, like you're using the same strange (or ethnic) spelling in a row... it seems too contrived. I'd suggest going with a more common middle name or first name maybe to balance it out. Otherwise it sounds nice.

I like both of the names.. I like spelling Braedon different ways too and I can think of a few ways to spell Cael as well but it is your decision.. I think Braedon is a cute name , there are several different ways to spell it as well.. Braden, Bradon, Bradin, Bradan, Braiden, Braidon. Braidyn, Bradyn, Braydon, Brayden, Braydin, Breydan, Breydon. Breyden, etc..... I think Cael is a cute name also, I can think of some different ways to spell it too. Cayle, Cale, Kael, Kayle, Kale, Cayel, Kayel, Cail, Kail, etc.....

Anyways, it is your decision so don't let other peoples judgements, comments and opinions keep you from using a name that you like.. Just do youself a favor, don't listen to the assholes who keep saying that he will be made fun of.. All children are made fun of at some point in time in their lives and for all different reasons and trust me when I say this, being picked on for a name is NOTHING.. I'm telling you that from personal experience, I was continually picked on all throughout school K-12 and I learned to deal.. Anyways, what really matters is what YOU like not everyone else, it's whatever you desire that counts because it's coming from your heart not from everyone elses comments and opinions..

People may find it difficult to pronounce properly. AND that's not such a bad thing. I speak from experience: my mother made up my first name ("tink" is an alias), and it's so unusual that if people see it first, they almost invariably mispronounce it--whereas if they hear it first, they *always* misspell it.

How could that be a good thing? Well, by the time I finish spelling or pronouncing it for them, and telling them the story of how I got it and what it means, nobody *ever* forgets it!

A name is a very personal thing. It is something that one has to live with for their entire life.
I think that it is important that a child be given a name that is strong, and different enough to make him stand out from the crowd and maybe even feel a little important.
Use what you feel is best. I think the name is nice, strong and unique.
If you have concerns, make sure that as the child grows that you tell him why you have chosen the name, and why it makes him important/different. Feeling confident about your name can make a big difference in your life.

Personally, I wouldn't use any name that rhymes with Aidan/Caden/Jaden/Brayden/Hayden because they are so trendy right now.

I like your middle name choice better, much less trendy.

I love Celtic names and that is a very nice one. If I have children I like Siobhan for a daughter and Kiernan for a son.
