I am 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant, last night after I got home from work I noticed some blood on my underwear. I got scared but didn't want to worry too much because I'd heard some spotting is normal during pregnancy. This morning the bleeding continued and I've been cramping really bad. Is this a sign of misscarage? Any info helps, thanx.

The thing is: I went to the doctor this morning, After about 1hr 45mins of waiting the doctor finally saw me just to tell me there was nothing she could do. She drew blood from my arm and said she would have some results on Monday. She didn't help at all, just told me that if I was misscarrying that there was nothing they could do. I'm scared.

Possible symptoms include:
-Low-back pain or abdominal pain that is dull, sharp, or cramping
-Vaginal bleeding, with or without abdominal cramps
-Tissue or clot-like material that passes from the vagina
-However, about 20% of pregnant women have some vaginal bleeding during the first trimester. Approximately half of these women have a spontaneous abortion.
During a pelvic exam, your healthcare provider may see moderate thinning of your cervix (effacement), increased cervical dilation, and evidence of ruptured membranes.
If you go to the ER
The following tests may be performed:
-HCG (qualitative urine) or HCG (qualitative blood serum) to confirm pregnancy
-HCG (quantitative) values drawn at intervals of days to weeks
-CBC to determine the degree of blood loss
-WBC and differential to rule out infection
The treatment for a threatened abortion varies from restricting some forms of exercise to complete bed rest. Abstaining from intercourse is usually recommended until the warning signs have disappeared.

If it's bright red bleeding, cramping, and even clotting will be a probable miscarriage. There usually isn't anything a doctor can do to stop a miscarriage, prior to the 16th week of pregnancy.
Brown spotting, which is usually only noticed when you wipe after you pee, along with slight cramping is normal. It's a way of your body cleaning out, and getting ready for baby.
I would call your OB and request an eval - right away. If your symptoms are more like the first, and/or you're unsure, go to the ER.

well you should go to the emergency room and stay at the hospital until you are done bleeding. you might end up needing a dnc. i miscarried at 10 weeks in 2004 and that is what i did. luckliy i didn't need the surgery though. there really isn't much that they can do for you except keep an eye on you at the hospital. they won't give you any medication to stop the pain either. when i asked for something to help with the pain the doctor said "NO" because it would stop the bleeding and then i would have to have a dnc. i am very sorry that you have to go through this. : (

First of all, I would go to the ER immediately. Get them to check you out- tell them what your doctor told you. I think your doctor is an idiot- I'd find another one. The fact that she made you wait so long, then didn't even do anything to address your concerns or fears is horrible. Your body and your baby are extremely important- and you're paying her your hard-earned money to make sure your both in good condition. Find another doc ASAP!!!

First of all, I'm sure you're scared to death. Try to relax and just lay around. Is it alot of blood? If there is, I might suggest going to the dr/clinic and getting checked. My sister had cramping and bleeding around that time with both her kids and they were fine. But it's not really normal to bleed like that. I hope everything is ok. Good luck.

I have had my share of miscarriges.. If you have the feeling that the baby is moving down, blood like its the begining of your period. and cramping twice as worse as your period your about to have a miscarrige and you need to go to the emergency room. or to the nearest bathroom.. She is right however there is nothing you can do. You cant stop a miscarrige from coming.. When I was having mine I went to the bathroom and pushed.. I than got letex gloves and got the baby and the white **** out of the tolite and took it to my doc. the same night and she confirmed a miscarrige and gave me pills to help the pain..

if there is cramping along with the bleeding then, Yes you need to get to the doctors. A little bleeding is normal for some pregnant women, but there shouldn't be any cramping.

Yes honestly I even hate to be the one to tell you something like this but I have been through two miscarriages in my lifetime and it sounds like that is what is happening. Please run to the doctor at the emergency room asap and have them run tests and check on you. I wish nothing but the best for you but I have seen this happen all too many times. Please just go to the ER asap to find out for sure.
I will pray for you.
