Whenever I insert a blank disc into the drive it would not burn, instead I would get a message " Please insert a blank or rewitable disc into the Lite-on DVD/RW drive." I have done that, nothing burn..

Just Check the CD....that you Got is a New One Or Not.........Reinstall your CD Writer Program........If even that Didnt Work...Try Getting a Other Brand of Blank CDs and Check if it Works...if it is Still not Workin....Then Better Get your CD-Writer Checked....Hav Fun

Check the type of disc you are trying to burn to. I believe some drives only write to certain DVDs, either + or -.

I don't know for sure, but I had a similiar problem and come to find out it was because I was using a cheap disc, I would recommend buying Verbatim as they will work in anything.
