If you are referring to the AMD Athlon 64 3200+ than I would say it really does not matter for games because it really depends on your graphics card. I would spend the extra dollar if you have it on the new Intel Core 2 Duo e6300/6400(180-224 @ newegg.com), and get a good graphics card. The graphics card is the one that really determines the quality of the games. Only get PCI-Express cards if your motherboard is able to support it.

Well, I'd say it sure is!

You see, the older technology on which most computers worked and on which you played your games were 32 bit; and 64 bit AMD is twice as fast!

You'll need to have a solid RAM for the Games, though, because most of them hog up a lot of space! 1 GB RAM is minimal, and 2GB is better.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Yes but I would wait until the quad core processors come out at christmas time. By then the Duo Core Processors will drop.

Its ok, but may struggle with some of the newest, most resource intensive games. That means it'll be well out of date in the near future. Your best bet is to buy the best processor you can afford.
