I can promise you... you won't want to haul a jacket around IN the casinos...and you ARE talking "desert"... so probably T-shirts and sweatshirts...

The casino's are nice and "cool"... year round... and the days will be nice... but shouldn't be cold... however... you'll want to see the "lights" at night and might want a jacket... but I doubt it...

Go to any weather site or put the zip code of Vegas on the weather box on Yahoo's Home Page. It gives you a 7-10 day forecast. By mid-October, it is in the 80's during the day, and colder at night. The casinos themselves can get warm.

Where are you staying and what do you plan to do?...have to give a little more info. Can be a casual trip or formal wear trip but something to keep warm in the evening casual or formal is good to bring along... but not a heavy coat...

It gets cool in the evenings, so a jacket would be good. Afternoon, jeans and a short sleve shirt should do ya!
