it restarted the computer and it didnt do anything else it didnt even show me a message

What were you expecting? When something restarts your computer after installation, its usually to enable the final installation proceedures to take place, such as initialising drivers or something. If your messenger works, the installation was successful.

i'm having an same mission, keep Messenger 8 till eventually they restoration 9 is all i will recommend. in case you already deleted it then your screwed like me because they no longer furnish the acquire for 8.
