we often hear present-day art, literature and music have gone into a cuel-de-sac. Artists have become repetitive and seem to have exhaused the rich and innovative sources from past traditions. What are your views on the subject?

i think your right , but art reflects the "now" and we are kind of in a repetitive existence that has chosen to ignore the lessons of the past . so the future moves slowly if at all. Tradition is lost and to ignore all but new traditions is something that doesn't seem to be happening .
