It really depends on what you're looking for.

There are many other mp3s which can hold more songs for less money (ie Creative Zen) but iPods are known for their sleekness and design. iTunes is a lot more expensive than most online music stores, but it also has games for iPods, and movies & tv shows.

If you're looking for something easy to use, sleek, and popular, chose the iPod. If you're going for calue, get a Creative Zen.

If you're sure you're going to get an iPod, think of what you're after.

If you want something small and don't have thousands upon thousands of songs, get a nano.

If you want to watch videos, have a lot fo songs, or don't mind something a little bigger, go for the video.

If you want something that's the bare minimum, no screen, smallest, and cheapest, go wtih the shuffle.

I LOVE MY IPOD TO PIECES OMG!! i have an ipod video, which i never really watch anything on it because it drains the battery, but if you get an ipod nano, it would be good, i use mine every day, but they have so many capabilities and are very easy to use, color screen, just so much other cheapo mp3s

My 22 year old son thinks so. He's over in Iraq in the war, and he runs convoys from one end of the war area to another, and he got a new ipod (I don't know what brand though) and downloaded a whole bunch of songs because he gets bored driving in those convoys all that time, and he loves his, so, taking him as a very reliable source, they seem valuable to younger people. God Bless you.

They are the best. It is just amazing to me that you can store so many songs on such a small device.

It is a lot better than the old days of having to carry a portable CD player and CD's.

You will not regret getting one!

if you like lots loooooottsss of music then take the ipod it can hold up to i think 20, 000 songs
if your ok with like 2 gb of music then pic the nano

Get a Creative mp3 player and spend the difference on something else. Ipods are not that superior, they are JUST another player. I own a Creative 40GB player and a Sandisk 1Gb player for less that what one Ipod of comparable capacity would cost.

They're popular and half the time, they break. I would suggest getting a different brand if you're buying a mp3 player using money you saved up.

Yes, they are. I use mine every day. Get a Nano or the one that can hold 5,000 songs. I have a Nano. Mine's white.
