it is a small wonder places overcharge when you keep proving PT Barney right," there is a sucker born every minute"There is no way to justify the prices these crooks charge. The sad thing is the same people that buy this stuff ( and bottled TAP water) cry about the price of gas.

First of all, the reason starbucks charges for their drinks is because their is milk in it. Unless you forgot, gas prices have been high, hence higher delivery costs, hence higher milk costs. Also, Starbucks employees do not get paid minimum wage, and we get amazing benefits. In turn, we are supposed to provide excellent service to our customers. Plain coffee is $1.48 for 12 ounces. That is maybe a quarter more than what you pay for at other places.

Not to mention, Starbucks develops relationships with the coffee farmers in all the coffee growing regions. Each farm has to pass rigorous quality standards. By paying them a little more for their coffee beans, we help maintain solid coffee growing economies in Latin America, Africa, and Indonesia.

So if you have a problem with people who like a warm smile with their lattes, then look the other way and get your nasty McDonald's coffee.

There is something in Starbuck's drinks like an herbal version of methamphetamine or crack...I predict that in a few years the story of the "secret ingredient" will leak out and cause major scandal. I think this because while other coffee bars can make coffee that tastes just as good, my physical craving is not for coffee, it is for Starbuck's. So to answer the question about what is wrong with the "Starbuck's people": We are junkies.

It is their money and they are allowed to spend it wherever they want to. can you stop people from going to Starbucks? If yes then do something about it instead of asking this question.
