Yes it is a condition called Alopecia. May sound weird but the kidneys have to do with thinning, balding hair. I suggest an acupuncturist that deals with this condition. Look up in yellow pages for an acupuncturist and call around to ask if they specialize in this. Also-they will prescribe herbs so be diligent with taking them.

Try using minoxidil. Try brushing your hair (over the bald spot) ten time everyday.
