You may have a bootleg copy of Windows, but it could also be that there is something on your PC that is blocking the download. The first thing you should do is sweep you computer for ad-ware, spy-ware, and viruses. There are several free programs you can download and install that work fairly good. There are also some websites you can go to that allow you to do a system scan for free. If you email me I'll give you a list of steps in order that you can take. Once your system is clean, try downloading service pack 2 again. If that doesn't work, you can do a google search and find a site that will let you download the install without having to use the microsoft update site.
