Why would you want to become gothic? These people are dirty and gross. I do not understand how a self-respecting human being could dress like that, and go for weeks without showering. I guess it's all about personal taste - but this is just something I will never be able to make sense of. Just being in the same room with a goth makes me sick.

Ummm, try changing into gothic at school, and change back before you get home. If thats to complicated just explain to your mom, that thats the way you wanna go, and that your not gunna start slitting your wrists or anything. My brother thought my mom and dad would freak out when he wanted to go emo but they were fine with it, they thought that he should decide the path he wanted to take as long as it didn't lead to bad fortune. Hope I helped!

There are very few goths that are in their 40's with 3 kids. It's a phase for young people who are trying to find themselves and don't feel they fit in. I listened to Alice Cooper's "I'm Eighteen" at high volumes when I was a teenager, but don't do it anymore. I'm not wild about my kids rap music. I'd consider skipping the phase altogether and devoting your time to things that will help you succeed in life. But I'm a parent and you may not be receptive to this. Good luck and steer clear of drugs. You don't need them in your life.

Being gothic has absolutely nothing to do with what you wear. It mostly has to do with thinking of death. I wear black clothes, black nail, black eyeliner, chains and stuff hanging off of my pants, and look pretty hardcore. I DO NOT think of myself as Goth.
Dressing like this is WHO I AM, though. So Don't change who you are just because you think you'll "look cool." That makes you a poser. Posers sicken me.

If you want to be more subtle, wear a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and black or navy shoes. That's what I do. My mom called me out on being goth, but I just kept saying, "No, I'm not. I just like wearing colthes of these colors."

Hope this helps!

Frankly?
You can't.
Unless you put on all your clothes and makeup once you get to school, and take it off before you get home. Which would be a drag.

Gradually go into it. It'll take a while, but if you really want to do it, it will work. Start to wear black a little more often and then slowly start to wear more makeup and then so on and so on.

umm.
the only way i can think of is.....
getting dressed a second time at school?

hiding an entire identity change is a hard thing to just keep from your mother....
you should probably just talk to her and tell her that you want to change up you clothers, make up, and jewelery a little. and then just do it. if she gets really mad.....then you can think about getting her to not notice.
