will that fit in my 2004 pontiac sunfire? and should i buy a matching tranny for it?

Yes it will fit the sunfires all had 4 cylinder motors the ecotec has about 260 hp and would make that little car go pretty fast.To make it look better go for a bomex body kit and spoiler dont go over board though.To make it go faster i would go for a cold air intake and superchargerand mabey some nitrous if you could afford it.Give it an air induction ram air hood too.

The engine in question is for a front drive car so you will want the transaxel(transmission) also. Remember that todays cars are computer controlled so you will want to use the module and wiring harness from the donor car so it will run properly. Its alot of work and money so you might want to trade up to a Cobalt SS.

No just go out and buy a new warrantied 2.0 colbalt ss. A whole less problems. Wiring axles and suspension ECM and traction control Transmission interface ect.
