It would be a bit hard since the indians (assuming native americans here) were here first. We stole the United states from them. So if they were to "go back where they came from", we, The non-native americans, would have to leave and surrender the United States to them. Now that would cause problems in the rest of the world as we are now displaced from the country where many of us are born. Most do not speak their native languages, such as me, (russian and hungarian). So, I say if anyone has a beef with how they WERE treated, let them take it up with those that abused them. Our family never bought used or sold slaves and were not even here when the United states was being formed. I'm only 3rd generation. Therefore no person has any beef with me about how they were treated.

it is assumed that the Indians may have come from Asia by way of Alaska, but this is a theory and not 100% factual. the Indians were here first. the settlers treated them horribly and were unfair. even though the Indians killed settlers too, they were merely acting out of defense of their land. the settlers then tried to "convert" the Indians to Christianity by force. through this forced process, many of the Indians died, lost their land and lost many of their traditions.

we did not mistreat the Indians, but the settlers did... and the Indians who are alive now were not mistreated by the settlers, but their ancestors were.

Actually, the Indians are not "Native Americans": they came here from Asia. The most they can claim is being the earliest immigrants; and even that is in doubt. The earliest human remains to be discovered in North America appear to be of European origin.

Are you talking about American Indians? If you are, then many portions of the United States would have to be given back to them, because our ancestors were responsible for displacing them. THIS IS WHERE they came from. And we have treated them badly in the past. The way to get past this problem is for each side to take responsibility for their own ancestoral wrong-doing, forgive and resolve to help one another in the future. Hatred, hard-heartedness, accusations and bitterness only cause more pain. Taking responsibility for wrong-doing, giving and receiving forgiveness is the only way road to freedom from the tyranny of hate.

Because Americans are now "where they came from." They're not from the West Indies at all as explorers thought, that's why they're now more often referred to as Native American's than Indians.

They live on reservations now. If your talking about people from India, I didn't know we mistreated them. I could think of more of different race that don't like us. I like us, do you like us? But, all true, whoever does not like the American way, then go home and like that. I like the American way, all except they took prayer and God out of our schools and public buildings. That is what our country was founded on, God.

You're kidding right?! I think this is a joke and will treat it as such. I choose to believe that you couldn't possibly be that ignorant, insensitive and just plian dumb. If anything, the Native americans should stay and the rest of us should pack up and leave.

Just in case you are a card carrying fundamentalist republican and mean this stupidity, your boat home is waiting somewhere on the Atlantic coast. It's a byopabb (bring your own paddle and bailing bucket) cruise.

A tongue in cheek question....no one seems to see thru it. My beef is with the Eastern American Indian tribes.. for their lax immigration policies. Now my tribe is on a rez here in Nevada thanks to their open door policy...
